Klaksvík and the Museum: 

By bus through the city of Klaksvík and visit "Úti í Grøv" where  you can take a stroll through the local "forest". You visit the church "Christianschurch" from 1963 and hear about the old fishing boat hanging from the ceiling and the beautiful alter piece. After a visit in the local museum you drive to viewpoint Klaksvík with good view over the city. Duration of tour 3 hours. Incl. coach/guide/entrance.

 

Kunoy and Viðareiði: 

You drive to the island Kunoy and visit the village of the same name. Enjoy the tranquility and the view to the island Kallsoy. After Kunoy you drive through the narrow tunnels to the village Viðareiði. Here you can take a stroll through the village to the church with the old church silver, given to the church by the British Gouvernment as a thank you for saving some of the crew from the brigg "Marwood" in year 1847. Back in Klaksvík you drive to a viewpoint overlooking the city before you drive back to the ship. Duration of tour 3½ hours. Incl. coach/guide/entrance.

 

Eysturoy (Gøta) and Klaksvík: 

By bus to the village Gøta on Eysturoy via the subtunnel decorated by the Faroese artist Tróndur Patursson from Kirkjubø. In Gøta you visit the museum "Blásastova" - an old farmhouse, the old village church, a fisherman's house and a boathouse. You continue to the new village church also decorated by the artist Tróndur Patursson. After Gøta you drive to viewpoint Fuglafjord for a short photostop before you visit the remains of an old Viking settlement in the village Leirvík before you head back to Klaksvík. In Klaksvík you drive to a viewpoint with good view over the city before you drive back to the ship. Duration of tour 4 hours. Incl. coach/guide/entrance. 

 

Northern Eysturoy and Gjógv: 

By bus to Eysturoy via the subtunnel. Drive along Skálafjord, the longest fjord in the Faroe Islands and continue along Funningsfjord and pass the village Funningur where the first Viking stepped ashore. Continue to the village Gjógv with its natural harbour that has given name to the village. Gjógv means gorge. Walk along the gorge  where you might see a few puffins. After a visit in the village church you drive pass the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands  "Slættaratindur", 882 m. Next a photostop viewing the free standing cliffs "The Giant and the Hag". Pass the village Eiði and south on the west side of Eysturoy. On the way you see the "bridge over the Atlantic" - the bridge connecting Eysturoy and Streymoy. Along Skálafjord and back to Klaksvík. Duration of tour 4½ hours. Incl. coach/guide/entrance.

 

Explore Tórshavn - the smallest capital in the world: 

Drive through the subtunnel to Eysturoy, along Skálafjord and over the bridge to Streymoy and further along the coast to the capital Tórshavn, one of the smallest capitals in the world. First stop is the National Historical Museum - get an insight into the Faroese history.  Continue to the Nordic House - an architectural pearl - which has housed many cultural events.  On to the city centre where you walk through the old part of town and get the true sense of this small capital. Time on your own before the bus drives back to Klaksvík. Duration of tour 6 hours. Incl. coach/guide/entrance.

 

Kirkjubøur, the Old Cultural Centre and the Historical Museum in Tórshavn:

Drive through the subtunnel to Eysturoy, along Skálafjord and over the bridge to Streymoy and further along the coast to the capital Tórshavn, one of the smallest capitals in the world. After a short sightseing tour by bus in Tórshavn you drive over the hills to Kirkjubøur, the island’s oldest cultural centre, where you will be introduced to the ruins of the 13th century St. Magnus Cathedral and the 11th century church, still in use. You also visit the 900-year old “Roykstovan”, the old bishopric, considered to be the oldest wooden house in Europe. Still occupied by the 17th generation. Thereafter a visit in the historical museum in Tórshavn. Duration of tour 6 hours. Incl. coach/guide/entrance.

 

Visit the beautiful village of Saksun

On this tour we will visit Saksun, an isolated settlement situated beneath steep majestic mountains. Drive through the subtunnel to Eysturoy, along Skálafjord and over the bridge to Streymoy and further along the coast and up the valley to Saksun. In Saksun we visit Dúvugarðar, an old farmhouse, which today is a museum. On your way back you visit a traditional Faeroese wooden church in Kollafjord before heading back to Klaksvík. Duration of tour 5  hours. Incl. oach/guide/entrance.

 

Viking Settlement in Kvívík & Kollafjørður

Drive through the subtunnel to Eysturoy, along Skálafjord and over "bridge over the Atlantic" - the bridge connecting Eysturoy and Streymoy and further along the coast to the village of Kvívík and see the remains of an old Viking settlement. In Kollafjørður you visit the old wooden church from 1837. On the way back you drive north on the west side of Eysturoy and past the village Eiði. Visit Vágar – panoramic tour

Drive through the subtunnel to Eysturoy, along Skálafjord and over "bridge over the Atlantic" - the bridge connecting Eysturoy and Streymoy and further along the coast to Leynar village and through the new 4,9 km long tunnel under the Vestmanna Sound to the island of Vágar. Visit the village of Sandavág and the village church, Miðvág, Sørvág, Bø and Gásadalur, the last village to get road connection. Enjoy the fantastic view of Tindhólm and Mykines. Duration of tour 4½ hours.  Incl. coach/guide/entrance.

 

Vestmanna boattrip, combination of coach and boat tour

Drive through the subtunnel to Eysturoy, along Skálafjord and over the bridge to Streymoy and further along the coast to the village of Vestmanna. Boat tour from Vestmanna to the fantastic Cliffs, sailing close along towering cliffs, viewing the many birds nesting in the cliffs. Into grottoes a fantastic experience. Back in Vestmanna possibilities to buy souvenirs and coffee before driving back to Klaksvík. Duration of tour 6 hrs. Duration of boat tour approx. 2 hours. Incl. coach/guide/boat tour.
