Day trip by coach past the whaling station at Áir to the village of Funningur to see the site of the first Viking settlement. Continue to scenic Gjógv known for its distinctive harbour. En route from Gjógv to the village of Eiði you can see the well known rock formation known as the “Giant and the Old Hag”. See also Slættaratindur (882m), the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands. On the way back, we stop in the beautiful village of Saksun.
