Scenic Suðuroy

In the morning, take the ferry Smyril from Tórshavn to Suðuroy. The trip takes approximately 2 hours and you will pass the islands of Sandoy, Stóra Dímun where one family lives and the uninhabited island of Lítla Dímun. On arrival in Suðuroy, you will be met by a local guide who will take you on a sightseeing tour of this wonderful island, rich in stories and legends. Enjoy a nice lunch. The tour ends at the harbour where you take the ferry "Smyril" back to Tórshavn

Practial information:
The ferry Smyril sails from the Bus/Ferry terminal in Tórshavn 08.30. Meeting time ½ hour before departure.

If you have questions, a service manager will be available after boarding.
Upon arrival to Suðuroy the guide will meet you in the terminal. Look for the sign VILT's logo (a big green hand):

On the return journey with the ferry, please go to the kiosk on deck 5, where you will receive a ticket. Please indicate that you are part of the VILT excursion, and you will get the ticket for free.

Please note: It is possible to join the excursion if you are staying in Suðuroy, it just becomes shorter as you are not sailing
