THURSDAY: Arrival to the Faroe Islands - Welcome.
Arrival with Atlantic Airways. Transport from airport to overnight accommodations in Tórshavn.
Check-inn at your accommodation in Tórshavn.
FRIDAY: EXCURSION Highlights of the North - See the Seal Woman and visit the village of Trøllanes.
With ferry from Klaksvík to the island of Kalsoy, where we make a stop in the village of Mikladalur, to see the beautiful sculpture of the Seal Woman by the sea.
From there we visit the village of *Trøllanes, a location used and featured in the new 007 James Bond Movie – No Time To Die. The nature in the north is breathtaking, and is dominated by high and steep mountains. Back on Borðoy, we explore the second largest town of Klaksvík, one of the most important villages in the fishing industry.
On the way back to Tórshavn we drive through the new subsea tunnel.
- *Add on: Hike to the lighthouse Kallin, from the village of Trøllanes. Hike is medium to difficult in uneven terrain. NOTE: If you choose the hike you will not have time to visit the Smithy on Trøllanes.

SATURDAY: Day on your own. Additional excursions can be purchased, for example:
Day trip to the island of Mykines. Enjoy a magnificent boat trip along the majestic cliffs. See the impressive gannets that only breed on Mykinesholm and the charming puffins with the colourful beaks.
- Day trip. Includes bus, guide, ferry, fee, lunch and beverages NOTE: Day trip to the island of Mykines is very popular and must be booked in advance.
Walking exploration in the old city quarter in Tórshavn, Tinganes and Reyn with its small alleys and charming houses with grass roofs. The local guide will tell stories about the past and present
- City Walk (1 hour). Includes guide.
SUNDAY: EXCURSION Saga Island of Sandoy and cultural centre of Kirkjubøur.
Day trip to the historic island of Sandoy, one of the most unspoiled islands where you can still experience the old, Faroese way of life.
We drive from Tórshavn over the mountain to the ferry harbor Gamlarætt where we catch our ferry. On the sail across the sound, we enjoy the views of Hestur and Koltur. The guide entertains with sagas from the island. Experience a church visit, fantastic viewpoints and small villages.
Before returning to Tórshavn, we visit Kirkjubøur, which is the Faroe Islands’ historical and cultural center. See the unfinished Magnus Cathedral and the small medieval church of St. Olav.
MONDAY: Day on your own. Additional excursions can be purchased, for example:
The island of Vágar - Excursion In a postcard. First stop will be in the picturesque village of Bøur to enjoy the best view of Tindhólmur and the freestanding rocks, Drangarnir. Continue to Gásadalur where you will walk to most photographed waterfall in the Faroes, Múlafossur. On route we pass the, ”Lake above the ocean” and we visit the local church and the war museum.

The island of Nólsoy. Village walk and muesums. Guided village walk and see among other things Rowing Ove´s boat, Diana Victoria. In 1986 Ove rowed alone from the Faroe Islands to the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen.

TUESDAY: EXCURSION The Golden Circle - The villages Saksun, Tjørnuvík and Gjógv
We drive to the idyllic village of Saksun, which lies picturesquely bound in a small fjord with high mountains on both sides. Continue on to the village of Tjørnuvík, on route we stop at the waterfall Fossá. From Tjørnuvík you can see the impressive rock formations the Giant and the Witch.
Before reaching Gjógv we will have a view of the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands, Slættaratindur (882 m). In Gjógv we see the natural harbour which the village is named after.
WEDNESDAY: EXCURSION Magnificent Vestmanna Cliffs and Viking settlements.
Boat trip to the Vestmanna sea cliffs. From Tórshavn we drive to the village of Vestmanna where we go on a 2 hours boat trip. We sail close to the vertical cliffs, into grottos and through narrow sounds – a fabulous experience - remember your camera.
En route back to Tórshavn, we make a stop at an old Viking farmstead in the beautiful and quaint village of Kvívík. Here we will see an old excavation of 2 viking longhouses. This will give you a small insight into what daily life was like in Viking times.
We drive via the mountain road back to Tórshavn and make a few photostops.
