FRIDAY: Arrival to the Faroe Islands. Enjoy the stillness and the magnificent views.
Transport from airport to overnight accommodations in Tórshavn.
After checking into your accommodation, you can walk around Tórshavn. As you wander through the houses in the old town, you will discover a web of lanes and passageways, stairs, protruding rocks and tiny black-tarred houses with white windows and grass roofs. Please respect the privacy of the people living in these historical houses
End the day with a visit to one of the cafés or bars and chat to the locals.
SATURDAY: Explore the island of Eysturoy - Visit a church and a knitting shop.
Sightseeing with bus and guide to the villages of Toftir and Norðagøta. On the way from Tórshavn, you pass the old whale station at Áir and continue over the bridge that connects Streymoy and Eysturoy. In Toftir you visit the beautiful Fríðrik church and the shop Navia where it is possible to buy Faroese knitting goods.
Tour continues to the windmills á Nesi and then to the village of Gøta.
SUNDAY: Northeren Islands and the villages Gjógv og Tjørnuvík.
Sightseeing with bus and guide to the villages of Viðareiði, Klaksvík, Gjógv and Tjørnuvík. From Leirvík you drive through the sub-sea tunnel, decorated by local artist Tróndur Patursson. From Klaksvík you will explore Viðareiði, the northernmost settlement in the Faroe Islands.
Tour continues to scenic Gjógv, known for its unique natural harbour. Last stop is in Tjørnuvík to enjoy the view of the rock formations the Giant and the Witch.

MONDAY: Island of Nólsoy. Guided walk and see among other things Ove’s boat.
By ferry from Tórshavn to the neighboring island Nósloy. Here life moves at a slow pace.
The guide will take you on a tour of the village. Visit Brunn, a house built of driftwood from the 1600 century and the unique attraction that can only be had on Nólsoy, Rowing Ove’s boat, Diana Victoria. In 1986 Ove rowed alone from the Faroe Islands to the Little Mermaid in Copenhagen.
Return by ferry to Tórshavn.
TUESDAY: Sightseeing with bus and guide to historical Kirkjubøur.
Visit the old part of Tórshavn, and afterwards with bus to Kirkjubøur.
Kirkjubøur is the Faroe Islands’ historical and cultural centre. The picturesque old farm is home to a family who for 17 generations have run the farmstead and ecclesiastic site. See the unfinished Magnus Cathedral and the small medieval church of St.Olav.
WEDNESDAY: The town of Fuglafjørður and visit a traditional Faroese village.
Sightseeing with bus and guide to the villages of Fuglafjørð and Elduvík. Fuglafjørður is a busy place where a steady traffic of local and foreign boats gives life and color, note the rust-red sculptures and do visit the Arts and Crafts center, Ribarhús & Piddasahandil located in an old historic building.
After a beautiful drive, you reach the small village Elduvík. Here you visit the amazing canyon that is unknown to most.
THURSDAY: Day on your own. We suggest exploring Tórshavn.
Down on the marina is an interesting shop called Østrøm where you can see and buy modern Faroese art and handiwork. Next door is Steinprent, a lithographic workshop and gallery exhibiting their latest works.
If your interest is in Faroese music, then go to Tutl. Make sure you have a look in at these shops Marjun Heimá, Ullvøruhúsið and Guðrun&Guðrun who sell knitwear in the latest Faroese fashion. You will also come across the cosy old bookshop that is definitely worth a look inside.
We suggest visiting the Nordic House and the Art Gallery, where you can see how extensively the Faroese nature and landscape has influenced the Faroese artists through the years.
FRIDAY: Departure from the Faroe Islands.
