We drive to the idyllic village of Saksun, which lies picturesquely bound in a small fjord with high mountains on both sides. This charming settlement is one of the most photographed locations in the Faroe Islands, known for its dramatic scenery and traditional turf-roofed houses.

Continue on to the village of Tjørnuvík. On route we stop at the waterfall Fossá, one of the highest waterfalls in the Faroe Islands, cascading down the mountainside in several tiers. From Tjørnuvík you can enjoy stunning views across the Atlantic Ocean to the impressive sea stacks known as the Giant and the Witch, which are linked to one of the Faroe Islands' most famous legends.

Before reaching Gjógv, we pass through spectacular mountain landscapes with views of Slættaratindur (882m), the highest mountain in the Faroe Islands. In Gjógv, we visit the village's remarkable natural harbour, a 200m-long sea-filled gorge from which the village takes its name. Surrounded by colourful houses and dramatic cliffs, Gjógv is one of the Faroe's most picturesque and beloved villages.
