After checking into your accommodation, take a walk around Tórshavn. As you wander through the houses in the old town, you will discover a web of lanes and passageways, stairs, protruding rocks and tiny black-tarred houses with white windows and grass roofs. This old town is unique.

At the end of the day, drop into one of the cafés or bars where you will find the locals relaxing.

Vágar and the Slave Cliff. ‍

Our first stop is in the small village of Gásadalur, home to one of the most photographed landmarks in the Faroe Islands. The stunning waterfall Múlafossur, where a river plunges directly from the cliffs into the Atlantic Ocean below.

Afterward we hike the shores of Leitisvatn, the largest lake in the Faroe Islands, before reaching the spectacular viewpoint at Trælanípan, also known as the Slave Cliff.

Nearby, you’ll also see Geituskoradrangur, a dramatic sea stack standing alone in the ocean below the cliffs.

The day of the Marathon.

‍The marathon course is commencing from the center of Tórshavn, continuing around the city along the seaside, on nicely paved roads. There is no traffic on route - overall a great nature experience.
