Arrival in the Faroe Islands

On the approach to the Faroe Islands, you will be able to see beautiful, grassy mountains and deep fjords.

You will be picked up at the airport and driven to Hotel Føroyar where you will stay in a double room with sea view. Enjoy the beautiful hotel and take in the breath taking view over one of the smallest capital in the world.

The evening is at your disposal, but we recommend Etika sushi Restaurant in the heart of Tórshavn.

Open the blinds and let in the morning sun. Enjoy a breakfast before exploring Tórshavn.

You will meet your guide downtown and he will show you the hidden pearls of Tórshavn. You’ll explore winding lanes, harborside views, and historic corners of the Faroese capital while delighting your senses in unexpected ways. From the warmth of a local bakery to the calm hum of cozy cafés and the charm of tucked-away tasting spots, each stop reveals something new — not just in flavor, but in atmosphere. Along the way, you’ll sample a variety of Faroese specialties that capture the essence of the islands: traditional, homemade, innovative, and indulgent.

Back at the hotel you will relax at Ress Spa which offers heated pools, saunas, body treatments and much more with beautiful panoramic view of Tórshavn. It’s time to give yourself a well-deserved break from your everyday life and enjoy this sanctuary of peace.

‍This will be followed by a 3-course dinner at Ruts restaurant at the hotel. The perfect way to end the day.

After breakfast, a driverguide will pick you up and take you to some of the most beautiful sights in the Faroe Islands.

You will drive to the remote village of Saksun. The village is known for its unique location placed above a lagoon. Continue to Tjørnuvík to make a stop at the beach to enjoy the views over the sea stacks "the Giant and the Witch". A stop is also made by the waterfall Fóssa.

After lunch you visit the scenic village of Gjógv, which is known for its unique natural harbour and a beautiful view of the island of Kalsoy. Walk along the edge of the crevice to enjoy the magnificent views.  

On your way back to Tórshavn you will drive thorugh Eysturoyartunnillin, with the Jellyfish roundabout, an undersea roundabout, with an illuminated, sea blue central pillar decorated by Faroese artist Tróndur Patursson.

Back at Ress Spa you will enjoy a realxing full body massage.

We recommend dinner at Áarstova, a cozy restaurant located in the old part of Tórshavn.
